Superstar DJ Avicii has sadly passed away in Oman at the young age of 28 his publicist has comfirmed. It’s always difficult to hear of someone passing away but even more tragic so soon in life. Avicii who’s real name was Tim Bergling, found fame initially by winning a producer contest arranged by Pete Tong in 2008.
Since then the talented producer went on to gain 2 grammy nominations 2 UK number 1 records and multiple top 10 hits. He was also the first EDM DJ to stage a worldwide arena tour, a true testament to his popularity. Incredibly while achieving so much so soon you have to think even bigger things were set to be in his future.
A very talented musician and producer who seemed to find success in anything he turned his hand to. One of the most decorated and prominent figures in electronic music over the last decade. Avicii influenced so many so young, he will be sorely missed by fans, musicians and producers all over the world. Of course, our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this time. Rest in peace Tim Bergling – Avicii.
Avicii was perhaps best known for his massive hit “Wake me up” which gained over 1.4 billion views on Youtube.
